Help

Most questions about access are for your church office, since the church decides who is a member and which email addresses may sign in. Questions about the app itself: hello@laosapp.com.

Signing in

“If that email is approved…” but no email arrives

Your address may not be on your church’s approved list, or it may be spelled differently there. Check spam, then ask your church office to confirm the address they have for you.

The link in the email opened a browser, not the app

That’s fine. Go back to the Laos app — it signs in on its own within a few seconds of the link being tapped. You can also type the 6-digit code from the same email into the app.

Signed out unexpectedly

Sign-ins last 30 days, and your church can end them earlier. Just request a new link.

Notifications

iPhone, using the web version

Add Laos to your Home Screen first (Share button in Safari → Add to Home Screen), open it from there, then turn notifications on under My Profile. The App Store app needs no such step.

Choosing what you get

My Profile → Notifications lists each kind — messages from the church, news, events, prayer requests, your groups, sermons — with its own switch.

Your information

Correcting your entry

My Profile lets you update your own contact details and photo (photos are checked by the office before they appear). For family details or removal, contact your church office.

Deleting your account

Ask your church office to remove you; your entry, sign-in and notification settings are deleted from that church’s instance. Your private prayer list lives only on your device and disappears when you remove the app.

For church administrators

Setup, imports, sermon and calendar sources, notifications and self-hosting are covered in the admin area’s Onboarding and Settings pages. For anything else, or to enquire about Laos for your church, write to hello@laosapp.com.
